Mid-Year Momentum: Reflecting on Wins and What’s Ahead

As we reach the midpoint of 2025, it’s a perfect time to pause, reflect, and acknowledge the progress we’ve made as a chapter. The first half of this year has shown how much we can accomplish together when we stay focused on what matters most—our members, our mission, and the power of community.

🚀 Aligned with Our 2025 Strategic Priorities
Every initiative we’ve pursued so far this year aligns with one or more of our 2025 Strategic Priorities:

🧠 Foster Professional Development and Lifelong Learning
We are committed to equipping our members with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to thrive:

✅ We successfully completed our Spring PMP® Exam Preparation Course, helping project professionals move closer to certification.
✅ We’ve hosted several learning sessions, with more on the way this summer and fall.
✅ Our monthly newsletters highlight industry trends, member opportunities, and ways to stay current and credentialed.

🤝 Elevate Member Engagement and Deliver Value
Your experience as a PMI member is at the heart of everything we do:

✅ In February, we hosted a Member Forum as part of our Annual Meeting, providing a space for open dialogue.
✅ Our President’s Office Hours offer a consistent way to connect with leadership.
✅ Our New Member Orientation sessions help new members get off to a strong start—the next one is scheduled for June 30.
✅ We’re planning PM-free social events to give members a chance to connect informally and recharge.

We’re also asking for your input in real time. Our “Your Voice Matters” survey wsa luanched on May 27 and remains open through early June. This is your opportunity to help shape PDD 2026—topics, speakers, formats, and more. Your feedback directly informs our biggest professional development event of the year.

🌟 Cultivate Volunteer Engagement and Leadership Development
Behind every event and initiative are passionate volunteers:

✅ We’ve welcomed new volunteers this year who are bringing energy, ideas, and a desire to lead.
✅ Our team joined forces for a day of service at Second Harvest Foodbank on March 22, packing and distributing food for our neighbors in need.
✅ We’ve initiated efforts to improve how we onboard, support, and recognize volunteers as a cornerstone of chapter sustainability.

🏗️ Strengthening Our Foundation for the Future
As we build momentum, it’s critical to also reinforce the structures that support our growth and sustainability:

✅ We have renewed our chapter charter and updated our bylaws to ensure governance aligns with current best practices.
✅ Our Finance team has drafted a financial reserve and investment policy designed to secure the chapter’s long-term stability.
✅ Our Technology team continues to keep our website fresh, accessible, and reliable, providing a seamless experience for members and visitors alike.

🔭 Looking Ahead
There’s still much to look forward to:

📚 The Fall PMP Exam Prep Course
🌐 Professional Development Day 2025
🤝 Continued member and volunteer events
📈 Further growth and insights from our Strategic Advisory Board, which met for the first time on May 20

Thank you for your continued support and involvement. Let’s carry this momentum forward into the second half of 2025.
