Jo Carter Building a PM Culture from (Almost) Scratch Higher Education has largely missed the growth of project management as a profession, and many within this industry have no real idea of what project managers do or why they'd want to work with one -- despite the large and complicated projects that take place on university campuses. What's it like to be a project manager in that environment, and how does one establish credibility and build the right culture to allow for effective project management in that context? This presentation will provide a case-study look at the establishment of a central project management office within the University of Wisconsin System Administration, from its start as a large project team to its current state as a multi-project, multi-disciplinary enterprise office. Join us Wednesday, Jan 15th as we welcome Jo Carter to a Holiday Inn - Madison West. Attend this event to earn 1 PDU in one of the Talent Triangle categories of Leadership/Technical/Strategic And Business Management. Chapter meetings are always a great way to earn a minimum of 1 PDU, have some great food, network with others and enjoy a great guest speaker.
