PMI supports worldwide advocacy for project management with globally-recognized standards and credentials, an extensive research program, and numerous professional development opportunities. These products and services are the basis of greater recognition and acceptance of project management’s successful role in governments, organizations, academia and industries.

PMI Madison/South Central Wisconsin Chapter was chartered in 1991 and today has around 800 members in the Madison and South Central Wisconsin area. It is part of Region 2, which consists of 21 chapters from around the Midwest and south central Canada, and is considered one of the fastest growing chapters in the region.

PMI Madison/South Central Wisconsin Chapter provides the opportunity to network with other Project Management professionals by hosting at least eight monthly chapter meetings and a highly rated professional development day each year.The Chapter includes practitioners in a diverse range of industries in the Madison and South Central Wisconsin area who share project experiences, effective project management techniques and tools, and valuable lessons learned among many other benefits.

Chapter Mission

The PMI Madison/South Central Wisconsin Chapter is the premiere project management organization in the Madison area, providing opportunities for professional growth through educational programs, professional development, networking opportunities, and support. 

Chapter Purpose 

The purpose of the PMI Madison/South Central Wisconsin Chapter is to educate its members, share information with other project professionals, encourage professionalism, and assist in carrying out the objectives of PMI. One of the Chapter’s principles is to give strong support to the purposes of the PMI.

We strive to bring together a diverse community of professionals to advance best practices in project management through professional growth, education, mentoring, and networking opportunities.
