Leadership Roles

Position: Director of Member Services
  • Role Overview:The Director of Membership Services leads a team to deliver exceptional membership experience, aligning key activities like data analysis, onboarding, satisfaction, growth, and recognition with chapter goals to enhance engagement and foster community.
  • Responsibilities: Lead a team of coordinators and analysts to enhance member experience, drive retention and recruitment, oversee membership operations, develop innovative programs, and collaborate across chapter leadership to align initiatives with broader chapter goals.
  • Time Commitment: 10-15 hours/month
Position: Director of Programs Speakers
  • Role Overview: Responsible for organizing and managing Speakers for monthly chapter meetings per year.
  • Responsibilities: Lead and guide volunteers in securing and managing speakers for monthly chapter meetings, ensuring effective communication, adherence to policies, and alignment with the chapter’s professional development strategy while collaborating with other directors to deliver impactful events.
  • Time Commitment: 10-15 hours/month
Position: Project Management Mentor
  • Role Overview: The PMI-Madison chapter's mentorship program aims to share knowledge and experiences to develop skilled project managers, positively reflecting on the chapter, by engaging certified members in roles such as one-on-one mentoring, student interviews, and certification oversight, each offering PDUs and opportunities to support mentees and students in their project management growth.
  • Responsibilities: Mentors provide one-on-one guidance, participate in student interviews, and review student project work through in-person, video, or written interactions.
  • Time Commitment: 1-3 hours/month

Member Engagement

Position: Member Support Coordinator
  • Role Overview: The Member Support Coordinator enhances the membership experience by addressing inquiries, facilitating access to PMI resources, and fostering member connection and support.
  • Responsibilities: The Member Support Coordinator responds to membership inquiries, provides technical assistance, and actively engages members by sharing updates and supporting their involvement in chapter programs.
  • Time Commitment: 5–10 hours/month
Position: Membership Data Analyst
  • Role Overview: The Membership Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing membership data, maintaining accurate records, generating reports, and providing insights to support the chapter's strategic goals.
  • Responsibilities: The Membership Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing membership data using ThoughtSpot, maintaining accurate records, generating and distributing monthly reports, ensuring data security and confidentiality, and collaborating with chapter leadership to support membership initiatives.
  • Time Commitment: 5–10 hours/month
Position: Member Satisfaction & Growth Analyst
  • Role Overview: The Member Satisfaction & Growth Analyst is responsible for analyzing member feedback, developing strategies to improve satisfaction, and identifying growth opportunities to enhance membership value and drive chapter expansion.
  • Responsibilities: The Member Satisfaction & Growth Analyst reviews survey results to identify areas for improvement, integrates feedback into annual planning, conducts research to identify growth opportunities, and collaborates with the membership team to implement strategies for increasing membership and engagement.
  • Time Commitment: 5–10 hours/month
Position: Recognition and Awards Coordinator
  • Role Overview: The Recognition and Awards Coordinator celebrates and highlights the achievements of chapter members by recognizing certifications, milestones, and outstanding contributions, fostering a positive and motivating environment.
  • Responsibilities: The Recognition and Awards Coordinator is responsible for recognizing and celebrating member achievements, managing awards processes, coordinating recognition events, and collaborating with communications to promote accomplishments across various channels.
  • Time Commitment: 5–10 hours/month
Position: Volunteer Support Coordinator
  • Role Overview: The Volunteer Support Coordinator manages the recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and recognition of chapter volunteers to ensure their success and satisfaction.
  • Responsibilities: The Volunteer Support Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, engaging, recognizing, and tracking volunteers, while developing strategies to enhance the volunteer experience and support chapter needs.
  • Time Commitment: 8–12 hours/month
Position: Leadership Support Coordinator
  • Role Overview: The Leadership Support Coordinator strengthens the chapter's leadership segment by supporting leadership development, recognition, and strategic alignment with chapter goals to cultivate effective and motivated leaders.
  • Responsibilities: The Leadership Support Coordinator assists with leadership development, recognition, onboarding, feedback, and collaboration with the Executive Board to strengthen leadership within the chapter and ensure alignment with chapter strategies.
  • Time Commitment: 8–12 hours/month
