2020 Spring PMP Prep Class

The PMP Exam is changing on 1 July 2020 All course registrants should take their PMP exam prior to 1 July 2020. This class is intended for people who are committed to a career in project management and aspire to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification Exams conducted by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The class will cover each section of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide, on which the certification exams are based. Additionally, Students will learn exam preparation tips, complete practice questions, and interact with their peers and PMP Certified instructors. All prospective students please review the prerequisites to sit for the PMP or CAPM exam for eligibility prior to taking this course which can be found on the PMI website at www.pmi.org. The course materials are based off the new PMBOK version 6. The instructors are PMP Certified volunteers from the Madison/South Central Wisconsin chapter who bring real-life experiences and project management knowledge to the area(s) that they present. Earn 35 CEU's (Contact Hours)

POSTPONED until further notice - 2020 Professional Development Day (PDD)

Dear Valued Members, Sponsors, and Guests, The purpose of this message is to address the current state of the PMI Madison/South Central Wisconsin Chapter and its event schedules while our nation and the rest of the world address the COVID-19 virus and its consequences. Given the nature of COVID-19 and the current Federal and State declarations of emergency, all previously scheduled in-person events hosted by PMI Madison/South Central Wisconsin Chapter are postponed until further notice. The currently running PMP-Prep class has moved to a virtual instruction format and will continue virtually in lieu of the original in-person classroom setting. Chapter meetings will resume in a virtual setting as soon as possible. Our volunteer board members and volunteers are working diligently to make this virtual option available. Please check back often for Chapter Meeting updates. Our largest in person event (PDD 2020) is postponed until we are able to ensure the safety of our members, invited guests, and speakers. Our intent at this time is to reschedule the event at the original venue and we are working to retain as many of the announced speakers as possible. Once we are able to determine the extent of the COVID-19 disruption, and both Federal and State authorities have indicated in person conferences are once again acceptable practice, we will reschedule. In the meantime, we will be issuing refunds of registration fees to those who have already signed up and paid, as we are not certain of the new PDD date. We appreciate your support and look forward to providing the high-quality content and experiences for which our PMP-Prep classes, Chapter Meetings and PDD are known. Virtual Chapter Meeting: May 21 Navigating Disruption in the Workplace

With everything going on in our world today, join your fellow chapter members for this awesome round-table facilitation to discuss 'Disruption in the Workplace'! Gregory Offner is a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, and coach; speaking on the topic of Disruption and Creativity. Greg draws from his experience as an internationally known dueling pianist, combined with his background in corporate leadership and risk management, to entertain and inspire audiences throughout the world. Registration is capped at 15 people because this event is interactive, and you could be a participant! If you register and find later that you are not able to attend, please be sure to unregister using our website. This will allow someone on the waiting list to attend.
