Episode 1: Org Structures (training for the race), February 23
Imagine a world in which organizations grow larger, remain profitable, and fulfill their vision without sacrificing agility. We are about two decades into the Agile revolution. As we enter the "Roaring ‘20s of Agility" the need for being adaptable in the fast-paced world we live in is exponentially increasing.Unfortunately, while “agile” is such a strong focus...the majority of organizations are still structured and operated with management models and practices that actually hinder agility, creativity, and innovation. We’ll discuss three necessary elements to make your product adaptable and responsive. We will provide attendees with a better understanding of how to structure their organization, teams, and products to support an agile approach.
Episode 2: Work Structures (race day prep), April 12
In the last episode, we discussed the importance of organizing cross-functional teams around broad-based product/service definitions as the first foundational step to agility. Once the structures are in place, many challenges still remain in managing the demand that flows into your product backlog. This episode discusses the good, the bad, and the ugly of product backlog management and provides practical advice to prepare you for the race ahead of delivering products effectively.
