January Chapter Meeting
Our January chapter meeting features a replay of the keynote address by international hostage negotiator Martin Richards from our 2023 Professional Development Day. Martin Richards is a seasoned professional, specializing in crisis management for public sector organizations. With a wealth of experience in crisis preparation, training, exercises, and live crisis management. In his captivating keynote speech, Martin drew striking parallels between the world of crisis management and the corporate landscape. As an expert in managing high stakes situations, he knows that the ability to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and make strategic decisions are crucial not only during emergencies but also in the day-to-day operations of any business.
In this meeting, we will start with break-out group discussions of a stressful or emotional situation. We will then watch Martin Richards' talk and reconvene to re-discuss how those situations could be handled.
For those in-person, dinner will be catered. Register now to earn one PDU, network and socialize with colleagues and listen to Martin discuss how to apply crisis-level emotional intelligence techniques to project management.
